Itinerary

Day 1Our Tour

Our Samo Tours expert guide will pick you up from your hotel by  a convenient air conditioned vehicle  to Birqash where the Camel Market is held “around 60 km driving from Cairo”. We will pick you up at around   7.00 am to be able to arrive during the culmination  time of the mart. It’s one of the major markets for camel meat in  Africa. Camels are annually assembled at  Darb al-Arba’in, the famous 40 Day Road. This ancient caravan route starts in Sudan and ends in Birqash. The camels are gathered through Sudan, Eritrea, and Somalia to southern Egypt. From there, most camels are shipped to Birqash Camel Mart through various oases in the back of large trucks.

After completing the tour you will go back to the vehicle following the way to your hotel.
